Wendy L. MacPherson
Wendy L. MacPherson graduated from Queen's University with a Bachelor
of Arts (Honours). She attended Queen's
Law
School and was called
to the Bar of Ontario in 1985. At the time, she joined Martin Sheppard
Fraser LLP to practice Family Law. Since then, her practice has
emphasized representing her clients in the courts and in the negotiation
and preparation of separation agreements and marriage and cohabitation
contracts.
Wendy brings her exceptional talents at mediation and collaborative
law to all cases dealing with Family Law and strongly believes that
some matters are better dealt with outside the court system. She
has been appointed by the Government of Ontario to serve as a Children's
Lawyer and regularly represents the interests of children in custody
and access disputes and child protection matters. Wendy also deals
with applications to appoint guardians under the Substitute Decisions
Act and the Succession Law Reform Act.
She is a member of numerous professional organizations and on a
voluntary level is a member of the Zonta Club and previously was
involved with Greater Niagara Big Sisters.
When not practising law, Wendy turns her attention to her family.
She is also an avid sports enthusiast and plays to win whenever
she's on the field.
